Sunscreen Showdown: Mineral vs Chemical
Welcome to AcneClinicNYC’s blog, where we delve into the ongoing debate of chemical vs mineral sunscreen. It’s a crucial choice for anyone serious about skincare, and we’re here to help…
A VI Peel is specially formulated for pigmented, aging skin and skin with acne scars.
Hyperpigmentation occurs when patches of skin become darker than the surrounding skin. Although it is usually harmless, it can be difficult to treat effectively. A VI Peel can help restore the skin tone you deserve.
After your skin is acne free, you might be left with scars or increased pigmentation. Acne scars will often fade over time, but sometimes they need a little help. A VI Peel will help eliminate acne scars and skin damage, leaving your skin smooth and clear.
The aging process can cause your skin to become lax, pigmented, and rough. Sun exposure and environmental damage just add to the problem. Aging is inevitable, but the VI Peel can make a difference in as little as 7 days. We have more than 10 years of experience working with satisfied patients around the world.
The price for the treatment includes a post-treatment kit.
Of course, you will get all this information from us, too!
Leave the peel on for at least 4 hours. After this time, you may use cleanser and apply sunscreen and makeup if desired.
4 hours after treatment:
Cleanse the skin with VI Derm Cleanser (included in the take home-kit).
Rinse with cool or warm water and pat dry.
Apply the first towelette: the towelette is to be rubbed vigorously over the entire treated surface of the skin.
Problem areas may be rubbed more vigorously for best results. The skin should not be cleansed after the towelette application.
IMPORTANT! After the towelette’s moisture has been fully absorbed, apply the Post Peel Protectant only if we instructed you to do so!

Over 10 years of skin care experience. Best acne clinic in NYC
My daughter was treated for acne at AcneClinicNYC, and I always wanted to try PRP for anti-aging (I’ve read a lot about it being the most gentle way of rejuvenation). Oh my gosh, I fell in love with this treatment. I do four sessions a year now and plan to stick with it. Every treatment feels like a breath of fresh air, and I can see how thankful my skin is: bright, tight, and lifted!
I have been battling acne for the last 18 years. I have tried every single antibiotic, medication, crème, soap, topical, etc. you name it. I did see some results that I was actually pleased with while on Accutane/Isotretinoin.
I tried every product made for acne with no results. Once on their treatments and products my acne cleared up. I learned so much about my acne and my skin. Their home regimen are entirely personalized!
I came in for a scars consultation, and Alexandra told me I didn't need aggressive treatments like lasers because my scarring wasn’t severe or old. She recommended PRP or microneedling with exosomes, which sounded best for my situation. I ended up choosing PRP, and it worked well for my scars. My pores are now smaller and tighter.
